For many years I worked for a behavioural training company. One model we taught was Push/Pull. It focuses on the difference between pushing your ideas, wishes, etc., at people instead of persuading them to adopt your thinking. It is a simple but powerful model, and I’ll not pretend the implementation of it is easy. I want to consider the approach in relation to the civil unrest we are seeing today.
Back in the early noughties, Tony Blair opened our borders to immigration. There was no parliamentary debate on the issue. The absence of consultation made people increasingly uneasy and worried over time. Many voiced their worries. What they faced as a result was accusations of racism, being “little Englanders”, and even being labelled fascists and Nazis. The establishment pushed back.
In the mid-teens, the EU elections saw UKIP achieve the lion’s share of the vote. People made themselves heard. It was an embarrassment for the establishment, who pushed back by mocking Nigel Farage and his group in the EU Parliament. There was no attempt to understand (to pull) why the Brits had voted that way. The accusations of racism continued.
Meanwhile, we were seeing the rise of UKIP in the country. These people were not neo-Nazis. The vast majority were everyday, worried people of Britain. They could sense the change in their society gradually taking place. Did anyone listen? No, they labelled them as “Looneys and fruitcakes”. The support for UKIP became so threatening to the established political parties that David Cameron decided to kill it once and for all. He called a referendum. To his credit, that is pull behaviour. He would implement the people’s choice. Well, we know how that worked out, don’t we?
The people spoke, and the result was the establishment’s worst nightmare. Did any of them take time to explore and understand the deep-seated concerns that underlay the decision? No, they pushed back for all they were worth. Leavers were “thick”. They had been deluded and did not understand what they voted for. Parliament used every trick in the book to water Brexit down, many demanding a second referendum. They followed the most biased, objectionable Speaker of the House we have ever seen. They did not accept the country’s choice. Their lack of concern was evident. The way of the establishment would prevail. To hell with the people.
Holding a general election was the only solution to the intolerable situation. The people spoke. shires, blue wall and red wall made their voices loud and clear when Boris Johnson said he would get Brexit done. The Tories won a large majority of both seats and votes. The rock band The Who sang, “We Won’t Get Fooled Again!” But we were. Chameleon Johnson and his socialist Tories did get their kind of Brexit done, pushing the deed onto the country. Expectations were not fulfilled. Immigration did not decrease. It rocketed.
For a second, let us consider net zero. Was there a substantial Parliamentary debate before the project’s commitment? No! Were the people consulted about the societal changes (as with their immigration project) this would bring on? No! Net zero is another article on democracy, but it follows the immigration path. However, it is essential to note that, as with immigration, it was pushed upon the people, causing many worries that the establishment ignored.
By 2024, the Tories’ reputation was in rags. The nation felt betrayed. The Tories disregarded the voices of many, regardless of how loud they shouted. That so many were turning to Reform caused Rishi Sunak to call an election. We now have another pro-immigration government, elected by 30% of voters.
Constant pushing is akin to holding down the lid on a pressure cooker. No matter how much leverage is on the lid, it will blow. Communities’ worries have long been overlooked and have now escalated. They’ve had enough. They are the great unheard and ignored people in this country.
Interestingly, many of these communities have been expected to absorb much of the immigration. (I was in Burford, Cameron’s old constituency, a while back. Did I see a single immigrant face? I’ll let you guess the answer.)
Has the establishment learned from this? It would appear not. Sir Keir Starmer only rolls out the old tropes: Thugs, racists, extreme right and similar. Ministers prophesy doom for the rioters. Riots should not be happening in modern Britain, and violence is always unacceptable, but why is no one addressing the underlying problem? Instead of alienating a huge portion of the population, why not try to understand their concerns? Pull the worries and explore solutions. What will quell people’s fears? How can the establishment help?
We know the answer. They will not. Why? Because they have no wish to limit immigration. The establishment never has. What is as frightening is that they have no answers to the ever-increasing non-British cultural areas appearing across the UK. They cannot accept that multiculturalism does not mean integration. The second-generation immigrants are not becoming British and are far from it.
So we will see more pushing applied as the establishment tries to stop the inevitable. I see a bleak future for the UK and the EU. We’ll have much more aggressive policing, more twenty-four-hour courts and longer jail sentences. More policing of hate crime, restrictions on free speech and the encroachment of an Orwellian world where we all say one thing in public, and acknowledge the truth in private.
However, when pushed, people nearly always push back. The future is grim. Kyrie Eleison.

Dr Noack: They show that it is not graphene oxide, but rather graphene hydroxide. I would like to explain what this graphene hydroxide is. It is mono-layer activated carbon. There are C6 rings. He found it in all samples. Every corner is a carbon atom. This is on a nanoscale.

You can see it very clearly in this woman. It cuts the blood vessels. The blood vessels have epithel cells as their inner lining. The epithel is extremely smooth. like a mirror. And it is cut up by these razor blades. That is what’s so dangerous.
If you inject the vaccine into a vein, the razors will circulate in the blood and cut up the epithel. The mean thing is that toxicological tests are done in Petri dishes. And there you will not find anything. These are the sharpest imaginable structures because they are only one atom layer thick.
This is a huge molecule which is extremely sharp. I am a specilist in activated carbon. In my doctoral thesis, I have converted graphen oxide to graphene hydroxide. Simply put this is a deliberate extermination program of everyone who volunteered to have a vaccine – we just don’t know when or how that will individually take place.

I think they are in a little bubble of their own, where you get ahead by agreeing with others in the bubble. Even if this means you lose an election big time, as the Conservatives just have, or cause rioting on the streets.
They do know. They don’t care. In fact they probably want us to be at each other’s throats, then they are the only ones who can ‘save’ us. Divide, Conquer and Subjugate. I used to think Starmer was a bit of a drip, but his policies – what little we knew – scared me. Now we know what he is really like, I’m so glad I didn’t vote for him. For what good that does.

Yes, protestors outside the homes 24/7 of MPs and senior mandarins nationwide could be very effective in bringing home the message that we have had enough of mass immigration. I’ll do my shift with pleasure outside my MPs house.
Surely, it’s a question of intelligence (lack of), wanting unfettered access to C21st ‘essentials’ and probably above all fear of standing out by voicing (even) concerns about anything being pushed – far easier to pretend that it’s all good and go along with it. It’s not the political classes fault for pushing, it’s everyone else’s for accepting it. If we rightly discount the elements who love a good riot for the sake of rioting and the bemused spectators there is still no effective opposition (organised or ad hoc).
The PM, and parts of the MSM which should know better, have failed to grasp that the yobbish types are taking their cues from the respectable working class people around them, possibly even family members. They sense their anger and manifest it in the only sort of protest they know. Unfortunately, it damages the cause but it should not be ignored. It is crude but it is not totally mindless. A bit, but not totally.
The fire bombing of the “asylum” hotel in Rotherham has attracted the strongest criticism, but think about this for a moment. It takes a stroke of genius to take over a hotel in Rotherham for this purpose. Rotherham is a town (pop’n 110,000), not a city, which has seen the rape of 1400 vulnerable girls by “asian” grooming gangs ignored for years. It is far from the only example but probably the best known. Ann Cryer was the first public figure to draw attention to these crimes in 2002 but in her case it was Keighley (pop’n less than 60,000).
There are anecdotal reports that guests of this hotel have been demonstating a less than respectful attitude to local women, but I have no evidence for this.
If you want to create a tinder box, literally in this case, this is the way to go about it.
I clearly remember the troubles at their worst a few decades ago. I see similarities. If the government doesn’t get a grip very soon, this could develop into something on a larger scale. It’s not just hot weather yobbery because the underlying anger is real and the causes are not going away.
