Old man writing furiously

From the Man Cave XXXI

The HOPE not Hate annual report is out, the caliphate is upon us and Shabana Mahmood is English.

We are hopeless at hate

Despite dire warnings from our board of directors and our hopes, as expressed in my recent column ‘Will This Be the Year of Hope (Not Hate)?’, we have failed to be included in the State of Hate 2026 report. It is particularly galling that good friends such as Dr Niall McCrae (aka the ‘failed academic’) and David Clews of Unity News Network are in there. But not a peep about Frank or me, or TNC.

I’ve had a scan through the latest drivel from Hope not Hate and, I must say, there are some characters in there with whom I would not wish to be associated. I don’t think I could take to the stage with someone who was wearing a Nazi uniform – not even Prince Harry – or others who wave flags that look suspiciously swastika-adjacent.

But to have people like that – people who really do fit the bill of far-right racists – alongside Father Calvin Robinson and Dr David Kurten (both black, incidentally) and Matt Goodwin really undermines any credibility that Hope not Hate may have. Their methodology seems flawed, to say the least.

Reform and its leader Nigel Farage get a lot of coverage based on being far-right and racist. Both nonsense; Reform veers rapidly to the left as it runs away from any of the better policies it once espoused, such as mass remigration, and hands that baton over to Advance UK and Restore. Also, Reform, even in its higher echelons, is so crammed with Muslims that it is becoming almost indistinguishable from the Muslim Brotherhood.

Anyway, there are pale faces and sweaty palms in the editorial office at TNC as we await the verdict from the boardroom.

Caliphate to the rescue

Following the complete non-event at a mosque in Manchester, Muslim Sharia police are out patrolling the streets of Manchester on horseback (yes, on horseback). Despite the fact that the ‘axe man’ incident at the Manchester mosque did not involve any violence or threats, as confirmed by the Chief Constable, the Muslims have decided that forming their own Muslim militia is the way to go.

This is very much breaking news and so far, only on Instagram. But the link was sent to me by a policeperson and the footage looks genuine. The news has not gone mainstream yet, but can you imagine how quickly we would know about it if a few white blokes rode through the middle of Manchester claiming to patrol the streets? It would be all over the BBC and The Guardian in minutes.

While the militia patrol the streets, the real police do absolutely nothing to impede them. Onlookers complain, and one policeperson responds by asking said onlooker if he expects them to pull them off the horses. The onlooker replies that the Old Bill would pull them off if they were carrying Union Jacks.

We have Iftars at Westminster and city halls, our King an Islamic obsessive, and the appointment of an anti-Muslim tsar. If people cannot see what is happening, then they must be either blind, stupid or complicit.

We have one more English person than we thought

Apparently, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood claims she is English, and it never crossed her mind that she was not. Well, Shabana, it certainly crossed ours. While I did once, in jest, claim that I had ‘come out’ as English due to the idiocy of the Scottish government under the insane leadership of the wee Crankie woman, I remain British and Scottish.

I hold an Irish passport, and I am a citizen of Ireland due to Irish heritage, but I was born and brought up in the UK and, specifically, in Scotland. I even lived in Ireland and have an Irish tax number. But I am not Irish.

Shabana Mahmood is welcome to claim that she is British, having been born here, but there is not the slightest excuse for her to define herself as or claim to be English. She adheres to Islam and has claimed that her Muslim faith is the most important thing in her life. Given the incompatibility between Islam and western democratic and Judaeo-Christian values, her claim falls at the first hurdle. Being British is a nationality, being English or Scottish is cultural.

Missed a ‘photo opportunity to wear a St. George’s Flag hijab – perhaps that sums up the weakness of her case to claim to be English? Mere mortals who claim to be English though (with hundreds of years justification) are ‘far-right racists’……
