It was only ever a matter of time before British Muslims decided actions speak louder than words, particularly with regards to the Jewish community. Like the Hamas attacks of October 7th, yesterday’s terrorist atrocity at the Heaton Park Synagogue was timed to grizzly perfection. With Yom Kippur the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, it was obvious that security would be taking a backseat to worship. Melvin Cravitz and Adrian Daulby were tragically killed by the aptly named Syrian, Jihad al Shamie, who drove his car into worshippers and proceeded to stab bystanders before being shot dead by armed police.
With his customarily leaden delivery, the British Prime Minister treated us to a series of empty, disingenuous words in relation to the terrorism. The Manchester attack, he said, was “absolutely shocking”. Really, Sir Keir? If that’s the case, perhaps he could explain why the Community Security Trust (CST) had received a 400% increase in funding in the wake of the October 7th attack, alongside the concomitant rise in antisemitism? “We will do everything to keep our Jewish community safe”, Starmer added. Well sure, everything except stop importing and pandering to the problem:
This morning’s attack is absolutely shocking.
I’m on my way back to London to chair an emergency meeting, and additional police assets are being deployed to synagogues across the country.

Far from shocking, the Manchester attack is the inevitable consequence of consecutive British governments’ appeasement of Islam. While undoubtedly cowardly and self-serving, there are obvious and somewhat understandable reasons for this:
- Islam is the most volatile religious group in Britain, accounting for 67% of terror attacks since 2018, and approximately three quarters of MI5’s caseload.
- Muslims are the fastest growing demographic in Britain, increasing by 1.2 million between 2011 and 2021 – 32% of the UK’s total population growth.
- Unlike Jews, Sikhs, Christians or atheists, Muslims are not seeking to integrate into Britain. And that’s not the view from the far-right, but that of former Equality Tsar Trevor Phillips. Regrettably, that is an opinion shared by four out of ten Brits.
At every possible juncture, it is obvious that Islam is being handled with kid gloves by the British State. Jews and other citizens are expected to obey the law, but Muslims routinely enjoy immunity from prosecution. As a case in point, consider the two-tier policing observed whenever aggressive pro-Palestine protests come face-to-face with peaceful Jews. While inveterately opposed to intervene with the pro-Gaza mob, the Metropolitan Police were more than happy to threaten a Jewish man with arrest for the crime of being “openly Jewish” and therefore “provocative”, in the vicinity of pro-Palestine supporters.
Far worse however, was the despicable abuse broadcasted to Jews in March 2021. A convoy of vehicles drove through the Jewish quarter of North London, draped in Palestinian flags, screaming “Fuck the Jews! Rape their daughters!” Despite identifying the vehicles and arresting four men on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences, the Crown Prosecution Service concluded 18 months later that there was not enough evidence to prosecute.
Hate crimes are all the rage in Britain there days. So much so in fact, that general members of the public are routinely arrested for innocuous statements like “I love bacon”, uttered in the vicinity of Muslims. That being the case, and with antisemitism at record levels, one might expect a similar courtesy to be afforded our Jewish friends. Apparently not. Back in 2023, a preacher at an East London Mosque told his followers:
“Oh Allah, curse the Jews and the children of Israel. Oh Allah, curse the infidels and the polytheists. Oh Allah, break their words, shake their feet, disperse and tear apart their unity and ruin their houses and destroy their homes.”
Mysteriously, burning Jews out of their homes “did not meet the threshold of a crime”, according to the Metropolitan Police.
Lucy Connolly was famously awarded 31-months at his Majesty’s pleasure, after tweeting that she didn’t care if all the migrant hotels were burned to the ground. However, if you’re calling for ‘Death , death to the IDF!’ at either the Welsh Parliament or the Glastonbury festival , it appears the authorities simply don’t have enough to go on – and that’s with the evident spike in antisemitism that such events cause.
You might think that the sitting Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, would have something compassionate to say about the Manchester attack. But then, this is a Home Secretary wholly comfortable at Palestine Solidarity rallies, who abstained on the vote to proscribe Palestine Action earlier in the summer. When asked about the pro-Palestine protests taking place in the wake of the Manchester attack, the best Mahmood could muster was to say that she was “disappointed”, and that “carrying on in this way does feel un-British”. Such callousness makes me feel physically sick.
Starmer naturally does not bear responsibility for this alone. It was Tony Blair after all, who crowbarred the borders open, and successive Conservative governments which failed to get to grips with Britain’s increasingly restive Muslim population. Starmer however, did make the ultimate and fatal concession. Coming into office, the PM was clearly troubled by the issue of Gaza. On the one hand, he professed Israel’s right to defend itself. On the other, he is nowhere near foolish enough to underestimate the importance of the Muslim vote to Labour; nor miscalculate which group would react more harshly to the absence of his backing. And so, he aligned himself with Islam.
While never formally stated, Starmer gave the clearest indication of this when he decided to ‘recognise’ the State of Palestine. Diplomatically, this can surely be seen as little more than the legitimisation of terrorism; a mistake European allies have been only too desperate to make.
In such a climate, is it any wonder levels of antisemitism are currently at a record high; one in five ‘Brits’ are now antisemitic; and 44% of British Muslims endorse antisemitic tropes?
The bodies of the slain are not even cold, and yet the pro-Palestine brigade are on the streets of Britain, celebrating their deaths:
The celebrations of the Manchester synagogue murders spreads to many U.K. cities this evening. The dead Jews are not even cold yet and they celebrate. They know they are untouchable and the government fear them. pic.twitter.com/GBcjZzTXi7

In Whitehall meanwhile, they are more inclined to rioting:
A synagogue in Manchester. Two dead at the hands of a suspected terrorist.
The response from Labour’s mayors, Burnham and Khan? Let the pro-Palestine marches fill the streets of both cities on the very same day.

Prime Minister-in-waiting, Nigel Farage, who I suspect understands the genuine threat of Islam in Britain better than most, had the following sombre message for the public:
We are a country that allows peaceful protest, but we are not one that allows the celebration of murder.

At the beginning of the year, it was reported that most British Jews do not believe they have a long-term future in the UK. The minority that did, have probably just had their minds changed forever. Manchester may have been a wake-up call for some, but the writing has been on the wall for some time. Thanks to a craven Prime Minister, Britain is to all intents and purposes under the control of Muslim extremists; extremists who now know their actions are beyond reproach.

So? Ban Muslim immigration? Encourage re-migration? What else could possibly follow?
So, do nothing, smile at every Muslim, pass Islamophobia laws? What else could follow?
Duke,
If there has to be a stop put on Muslim immigration, then so be it. It’s nothing to do with prejudice or racism and everything to do with national security. There are already people on port-of-entry lists because they are not to be permitted to enter the country. The facts speak for themselves, the fear in the population speaks for itself. The conquering nature of Islam speaks for itself. They are not coming here for the “full English breakfasts” or haggis and neeps for dinner.
Having argued that there should be a stop to Muslim immigration for the foreseeable future out of concerns for national security which has nothing to do with prejudice or racism, I have to say that I have lost count of the number of times I’ve heard people say – including myself – that the elevation of the Muslim community to “say and do what you like, nothing bad will happen to you” is enough to make anyone “racist”, if hating injustice really IS a “hate crime”.
Patricia
Don’t be so prejudiced against prejudices. We all (I hope) have a prejudice against killing or grown men having sexual relations with little girls. Burke called prejudice “latent wisdom”. I have a prejudice (I confess it) against Pakistani Moslems wielding political power in this country as an effect of their numbers. Do you not?
All establishment parties seem to put all minorities before White British Christians.
Not the time to say this, but, Jews are still ‘the chosen’, if this latest outrage sparks further panic they can relocate to Israel – where can indigenous non-Jewish Britons go with such ease? No where, nor should we need to if we had a country that didn’t pander to those who seek only to destroy it.
I don’t often comment on here as I prefer to read the intelligent comments with which I mostly agree. But today I feel I just have to. I am disgusted, distraught, and have lost all hope that this Country can ever return to what it was. I can’t say what I’d like to say on here, because it would undoubtedly be censored. Something has to be done, something drastic, mass deportation is the only answer, but, I know that won’t happen. My heart, my condolences and my support go out to all our peaceful Jewish people.
Thank you for that outspoken assessment of the current state of the UK. I highlighted this sentence as a first class summary: “… Britain is to all intents and purposes under the control of Muslim extremists; extremists who now know their actions are beyond reproach.”
Absolutely. That’s what most of us think these days. That’s what we are witnessing.
Street Bible preachers are confronted by police and threatened with arrest because some clown has conjured up hurt feelings and considers this a “hate crime”. I’ve yet to read of any Christian lodging a complaint because of Muslim “hate speech”. A friend told me that he happened to come across something of an altercation in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow a few months ago. The argument was mid-way so he missed the cause of it but I suspect it would be one of those bible preachers being tackled by the Muslim who finished his part of the “dialogue” (as my friend heard first hand) by saying quietly “Just wait till we’re in charge.” From all the available evidence, it won’t be long, in my considered opinion.
The examples in the article say it all – the Jew who “looked like a Jew” (as described in the first report I read, which is why it sticks in my mind) and the young man who was led away by police because he’d been overheard saying he liked bacon, and that could upset any Muslim nearby. To which the obvious reply is – tough. Too bad. Who cares. It’s all crackers, beyond belief stuff, but it’s happening with increasingly terrifying frequency.
Mass deportations is the only answer and it is just not true for Keir Starmer, or anyone else, to say that it’s not possible. Donald Trump did it on day one. Closed the border and it is no excuse to say that the small boats come across the water – they need to be sent right back on bigger and better boats and if that’s not possible, there needs to be an emergency law passed to remove all power from the courts so that these invaders can be put onto planes and deposited elsewhere. They are wreaking havoc here – it cannot be permitted to go on indefinitely.
Kill all Jihadi following muslims we can keep the useful ones under threat of deportation if they don’t follow the rules.
I do wonder if Starmer’s conscience troubles him even slightly – does he realise that his stupid “recognition of Palestine” gimmick added fuel to the anti-Israel/anti-Jewish fire that was already raging, thanks to his Government’s failure to defend Israel, instead choosing to support the Hamas terrorists? Does he accept that, thus, he has the blood on his hands of those who were murdered in the Manchester synagogue attack… Would it dawn on him? It seems that the default position of every politician is to deny and/or make excuses. Never occurs to them to simply admit being in the wrong.
When I first heard about Starmer’s “recognition of Palestine” gimmick, I decided to pop into our nearest travel agent next time I visited our local shopping centre, to book a holiday there. So, a few days ago, I did just that.
There were three women agents in the shop, no customers, so I had the full attention of the staff when I made my entrance. And what an entrance… They all looked up as I stood at the front desk, hand on the back of a chair, directing my question to the young agent at the front. I explained that I had heard that the UK Prime Minister had recognised a new state, Palestine, and I wondered if it would be possible to book a holiday there – do they have nice beaches and hotels at the seafront?
The young agent looked puzzled and said “You want to book a holiday in Palestine” (Palestine would be in italics if I knew how on this system!) and as soon as I nodded, yes, she put the biscuit or whatever she had been eating to one side, and moved her mouse as if to begin a search. At this point, I laughed and said I was having them on – that this new state did not exist, but I couldn’t resist this bit of fun. To their credit, they all smiled/laughed and I made my exit, accompanied by my young great-niece (who had rejected the suggestion to wait for me outside, if she thought it might be embarrassing. She’s always ready for a bit of fun!)
Starmer & Co. really are an embarrassing bunch. I can’t imagine having to put up with this Government for another 4 years. Oh for the days when an early General Election would have been called by now, as a result of any one of Labour’s clangers to date. Those were the days.
I see it quite differently, if the UK recognises Palestine as a state and yet Islamic terrorists and their supporters still continue to cause trouble here – deport and/or imprison/fine those who still don’t calm down.
