It is now common knowledge that, in spite of robust efforts on the part of the Crowborough community and its representatives, the Home Office is determined to ride roughshod over the town’s legitimate concerns regarding the use of an army camp for up to 600 illegal migrants. Having stated that they would not make a decision regarding the use of the camp until the new year and having given the town a reprieve over the Christmas period, it now transpires that migrants will in fact begin to arrive at the camp shortly.
Leaving aside the characteristic doublespeak and obfuscation of our increasingly authoritarian government, it is extraordinary to consider the hypocrisy of the Prime Minister and his cohort of quango queens when it comes to the safety and security of women and girls. Only last week, during a brief stopover in the UK, Starmer tweeted that he wants his daughter ‘to grow up in a Britain where she feels safe in school, online, and in relationships’. Never mind that he keeps his daughter so safe and so hidden away that we neither know her name nor her age; it would be really appreciated if Starmer would care – really care – about all girls and women. It goes without saying that placing in our midst large groups of men, many of whom are from misogynistic societies, is utterly incompatible with assured safety for women and girls.
Then along came the newly appointed chief of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), Mary-Ann Stephenson. (She was appointed by Minister for Women & Equalities Bridget Phillipson, who has just blocked women’s safe spaces.) It’s become axiomatic that when ‘human rights’ are mentioned it usually means someone else’s rights rather than your own. Ms Stephenson tells us we must not demonise immigrants or describe them negatively. In other words, all migrants of whatever ethnicity, age, sex, class or morality are to be lumped together and only referred to in positive tones. At the same time she wants us to ‘have honesty in the way that we talk about human rights’. Righto, but presumably that’s only Ms Stephenson’s ‘honesty’, not yours or mine. She goes on to say that criticising mass migration is not very nice for ethnic minority UK citizens. This is not only intensely patronising but also betrays a stunning lack of awareness that established migrants who work and contribute and came here by legal means are as averse as anyone else to paying for undocumented people who enter the country illegally and contribute zero.
Ms Stephenson has supported the rights of women who oppose gender ideology to speak out, which is one tick in her box. However, I wonder what her response would be if asked about the safety of women and girls in Crowborough – not in a changing room or a ‘safe space’ but walking along the streets of their town, getting on and off buses, or going to and from school.
When reciting from the pre-prepared left-wing script, hypocrisy, misinformation and lies are standard practice. We are wearily familiar with the truth-massaging antics of Rachel Reeves, but now we hear of the 72-year-old Dame Ann Limb, holder of various illustrious positions including first chairman of the Scouts (Why??). The Dame was assisted into all those positions by her C.V. which claimed that she had a PhD and referred to herself as Dr. It turns out that she has no such qualification, but hey, what’s a bit of factual creativity when it comes to elbowing your way into the elite? It would just be really nice if females in high places could set an example and stick to the truth.
Here in Crowborough we are of course under the thumb of a LibDem/Green alliance-run district council. The Green leader is Rachel Millward, who is also deputy leader of the Green Party. ‘Ex-theologian’ (her description), Rachel is perhaps more away with the fairies than an outright liar, but there’s a thin line. Rachel follows her leader Zack and thinks that all immigration is good, but has got her undergarments in a heck of a twist when it comes to her council position obliging her to – sort of – oppose the Crowborough camp plan. As a nice fudge, she proposed the idea that a proportion of the incoming illegal migrants will be doctors and surgeons, so that’s alright then. After a trip to Calais with Zack she has excelled herself further by posting a piece linking the plight of a small group of pregnant women she met in a camp to Joseph and Mary fleeing King Herod. She claims that they all need to get to the UK in a small boat to have their babies. She doesn’t mention how long they’ve been in the camp, how they got there, or where their menfolk are – no facts, just mind-blowing naivety on the part of a female who purports to be a serious politician. All that aside, last time I looked France has plenty of maternity departments, as does the rest of Europe, as do the countries the women have travelled from. But no, the only ‘stable’ – aka hospital – in which these women can give birth is in… the UK. Where else?
The above women follow a consistent path. They all follow a pre-ordained script. They all signal their supposed virtue by lumping all foreign people together and patting them on the head. They all demonstrate disdain for those who question, interrogate or contradict their views. They tell us how we should think and what we should think – and if we decline to think like that then they call us unpleasant names. They espouse ‘honesty’ but only when it suits them and anyway, telling lies in public life is par for the course, isn’t it?
In recent weeks the Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has declared that violence against women and girls is a national emergency. One response to this was the dreadful proposal that boys should be lectured and hectored in school regarding their nascent toxic masculinity. Needless to say, better help for victims of rape and violence is paramount. Pity then that this government has dragged its feet so dreadfully over investigating the gangs who raped and abused vulnerable young girls in our towns and cities.
Above all, before our very eyes, we have the most glaring contradiction. Starmer and his female ministers and quangocracy pat each other on the back and parrot each other with talk of protecting women and girls. Simultaneously, without blinking, they impose groups of single men, many of them from misogynistic societies, on our towns. The two ideas are 100% incompatible. It seems that this government neither wishes nor is able to stem the tide of mostly male illegal migrants pouring into our country. As long as they come, more and more accommodation will be needed and more and more peaceful places will be afflicted like Crowborough. It would therefore be really, really nice if left-wing female mouthpieces would engage their minds regarding the implications of what is happening and exercise real care and caution regarding the welfare of British women and girls.
Here in Crowborough we are quite clear what we think and we shall be watching like hawks. We have fought hard against the Government’s plan and there is no way we shall roll over and accept or keep quiet about what is coming our way.

Words are important, these are not ‘migrants’ or ‘immigrants’ but criminals aka illegal Immigrants whose sole aim is the acquisition of benefits paid for by others.
Nothing makes sense…I can see no reason for the existence of such policies…
You do realise, I hope, that there is a whole class of people who absolutely hate most Brits, regarding them as neo-fascists, colonialists, racists and murderers, all carrying the guilt of 300 years of white supremacy. They won’t be content until the entire country is turned upside down with the indigenates at the bottom of the pile, with the exception of the enlightened ones (themselves) who they think will continue to wield power. Yes, that is how stupid they are. This class poses a greater threat than the immigrants themselves because the latter are, at the moment, a minority. There can be no compromise with this class. If they survive, you won’t.
Very true, that class though won’t survive (poetic justice) as they will be treated with equal contempt by those who, for now, find them useful idiots.
I sincerely hope that this government led by the Arsehole Starmer does not make it far into 2026 i sincerely hope that the entire government dies horribly within the next 2 months.
